UiPath’s Chris Morgan Recognized as 2019 CRN Channel Chief

The RPA Leader is Accelerating the Automation First Era with Partners

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- UiPath, the leading enterprise Robotic Process Automation (RPA) software company, announced today that CRN, a brand of The Channel Company, has named Chris Morgan, global vice president of partners and alliances, to its prestigious list of 2019 Channel Chiefs. CRN’s annual Channel Chiefs list includes IT leaders who continually drive growth and revenue in their organization through their channel partners, and who demonstrate exceptional leadership, vision and commitment to their channel programs.

As organizations make shift to digital, the channel is under tremendous pressure to invest in technologies that address the workplace of the future. UiPath is deeply committed to the channel and empowers its partners to address growing customers’ demand for RPA and artificial intelligence technologies that support this digital transformation. To that end, in 2018 the company:

  • Grew its partner community tenfold, starting from approximately 100 partners to over 1,000 by year-end
  • Launched a Partner Acceleration Fund and Venture Innovation Fund to help partners prepare for the demand in RPA
  • Hosted its two first-ever Partner Forward events (in the U.S. and EMEA), supporting more than 900 attending partners
  • Introduced formal infrastructure to scale partner relationships, including tools such as the Partner Portal (offering deal registration and co-marketing) and the Business Partner Program (to empower partners to build RPA technical and sales skills)
  • Built out its partner sales team from three employees in the Americas to more than 50 globally to support strategic and regional partners

Morgan joined UiPath in early 2018 and has been the driving force behind the company’s channel organization. Morgan has extensive experience leading global business and channel development organizations at technology companies, and is responsible for the development and execution of all indirect pathways to marketing including value-added resellers, distribution, global systems integrators and technical alliances at UiPath. Prior to joining UiPath, Morgan was global vice president of channels and distribution at Nutanix.

“UiPath saw unprecedented growth in 2018 and two fundraises that value the company at $3 billion. Under Chris’s leadership, our channel partners have helped address and support the significant demand for our technology,” said Craig Bumpus, chief revenue officer, UiPath. “Most importantly, our channel network has allowed us to democratize RPA and drive the Automation First era. We are proud of Chris’s accomplishments and the partner-first culture he’s helped instill at UiPath.”

“The individuals on CRN’s 2019 Channel Chiefs list deserve special recognition for their contribution and support in the development of robust partner programs, innovative business strategies and significant influence to the overall health of the IT channel,” said Bob Skelley, CEO, The Channel Company. “We applaud each Channel Chief’s remarkable record of accomplishments and look forward to following their continued success.”

The 2019 CRN Channel Chiefs list, including the 50 Most Influential Channel Chiefs, is featured online at www.crn.com/channelchiefs and will appear in the February 2019 issue of CRN.
